STEM & Buds is hosting two completely free summer camp sessions for students grades 6-8 that will teach students how to design and create their own STEM-related project.


Session 1: North Allegheny Senior High School

Session 2: Cathedral of Learning

Address: 4200 Fifth Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15260


Each session will be one-week long from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Session 1: August 5 - August 9

Session 2: August 12 - August 16


At the camp, students will be introduced to six STEM topics, engineering, psychology, computer science, mathematics, biology, and chemistry. They will then pick one or more of the topics to focus on while creating a science fair-esque project. High school mentors will assist and guide the students as they choose and create their project. On the final day of the camp, a mock science fair will be held for students to present their work.

How much does the camp cost?

  • Nothing, the camp is completely free for all students, Thanks to everyone who supports us!

What will my child do at the camp?

  • Students will learn about six different STEM topics, and then, they will create a project based on their interests through experimentation and research. At the end of the camp, we will hold a mock science fair for students to present their project.

Does my child need to bring anything?

  • Only a lunch, we will provide all the necessary materials for activities and projects.

Who can participate?

  • Any student entering grades 6 - 8 in the 2019 - 2020 academic year can attend. We are open to anyone and everyone around the Greater Pittsburgh area!
